For all things there are cycles, bringing events from one dynamic level to the next, never chaos, but always cause and effect.

Every once in a while the music industry seems to dig itself into a rut wherein escape appears highly unlikely. The music and the listeners themselves become highly polarized. Radio, unwittingly feeding the extremes, contributes to the general lack of musical options with more substantial creativity.

Then all at once, there’s something new and exciting in the air, the spark of life drawn deeply into the vacuum, igniting once again the chain reaction of upward movement. The spark this time, compliments of Cleo de Mallio and Crystal Binelly of G.E.N.E. on the album “Canadian Lakes.”

This direct and transformational performance has managed to combine an unprecedented collection of diverse musical styles and orientations such as jazz, classical, melodic experimental, acoustic, electronic, in such a way as to possibly rejuvenate the industry single-handedly.

This original new music embodies the visionary spirit of G.E.N.E., creating just the right amount of tension in the air.

If I were asked to come up with a title that would describe this recording in four words, I would call it “Music From The Egg,” and innovative introduction to the broader scope of world music through G.E.N.E.tic crossbreeding of diverse musical strains, resulting in a new and improved strain.

[SOFTWARE BANDCAMP 12] [ALBUM 10] [1988 IC 80.075 / 710.075] [LP - CD with 4 extra tracks] [14 Tr. - 1:11:40] This album is very different from the first e-Universe: it starts "kosmische", true, but the use of sampled vocals on many tracks it's quite odd. Imho another better fitting title should have been applied here. Anyway the album is very easy to listen at, and it contains very nice segments, sometimes biased to synth-pop. ★ I want my collection sorted!!! ★
